How devastated can one be with the unfortunate event that happened in the evening of Oct 1, 2017, when a lone gunman opened fire on a crowd at the Route 91 Harvest music festival claiming around 58 innocent lives and injuring more than 480 people.Here is a glimpse of what happened :

The perpetrator was identified as Stephen Craig Paddock 64 years old of Mesquite, Nevada. During the performance on the third and the final day of the festival, Jason Aldean was performing.
While the concert was going on Paddock opened fire around hundred of rounds into the audience from two windows that he had broken with a hammer in his hotel suite on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bar hotel. The firing started at 10:05 PDT . Most of the people mistook the gunshots for fireworks. Thefiring lasted till 10:15 pm . It all ended when a hotel security guard , Jesus Campos arrived at Paddock's Hotel room door , Campos was wounded in the leg by the bullets that Paddock fired though his door. People were evacuated from the 32nd floor after that.

Mandalay Bay got complete lockdown after 10:26 pm , as the police progress towards the hotel roomby breaching the door with explosives and found Paddock dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.Around 23 firearms were found incliding the AR-15 , Kalashnikov, AR-10 and other .308 cliber weapons , after the investigation it was found that most of the weapons were automatic , Paddock had brought more than 10 suitcases to his hotel room , also he had plance wireless cams inside and outside the hotel room
Still the motive of the mass shooter Stephen Paddock is unknown.[source: wikipedia]
